An Ideal First Date Would Be

Going to a quiet coffee shop or meeting at an art or other type of museum and walking around while we talk. Maybe get a small bite to eat. Some place relaxed, not too fussy but it feels like something a little special or memorable. (I'm a bit of a romantic, so I like the memorable part of things.) Would definitely want it to be somewhere that we could talk and where we might be able to burn off some of our nervous energy, since I know I will be a little nervous and hopefully my date would be too- at least a little. Hopeful of meeting someone who has a potential to be special in their life. The place isn't the thing, though. Its the feeling and hopefully getting to know someone who is hopeful about the future and hoping to find romance once more.

I've Always Wanted To Try

Oh, gosh- lots of things. Sometimes I am a fraidy-cat though. Want to travel more. Haven't seem much of the world. Would love to meet someone who feels comfortable with travel. I am still working now but want to retire in a year or so so would to do more travelling then. I actually would like to try starting my own part time business- consulting companies on risk management, which is what I do now where I work. I like teaching so that would be part of that. I like trying new challenges and want to keep learning and growing. Might even want to get my PhD, who knows?

My Idea Of Fun Is

I like to fish (lake fishing mostly). I love dancing to live music. I am a bit of a political junkie. Listen to NPR. Am trying to learn about investing so I started watching Bloomberg television recently. Care very much for my sons and their families. Really love being a grandparent, so that is a big part of my life- wish I had someone to share that with. Raised my sons alone most of the time so I would really like to have a partner to share this time of life with. Like to discuss what is going on in the world and care about humanity. I like my work but it isn't my life focus. Find the ironies of life fascinating. Live in Queen Anne, like being able to walk to the grocery store and to restaurants. Miss not having a house and home projects, a place to garden. Hope to find someone who is fun to talk to and who is positive about life.

Someone that I can say, he is a good man, he makes me think, he makes me laugh, he is kind to others, he tries hard, he is forgiving and is contrite when he mistakes. I need someone who is physically affectionate, willing to hold hands in public, likes to kiss, looks you in the eye when he talks to you. Isn't too impatient, but has a certain sense of urgency and desire to do things in life. Someone who wants to learn new things, who questions reality and wonders if he understands it, admits when he doesn't, wants to know what other people think but knows what his core values are.
