I see myself as an attractive, warm, caring, loving, compassionate person with characteristics of honesty, genuiness, loyalty, and dependability. "Really me" is a good phrase for me. I am 5'5" and 148 pounds, active, like being outdoors, especially in the warmer months. I enjoy being with friends and family but am missing a special person in my life. I enjoy life and can laugh at myself--do not take myself too seriously most of the time.
I am new to this area coming from southern Georgia--have been here about 8 months. I am enjoying the cooler weather and meeting new people and experiencing new situations.
I am currently employed as an RN part time and can take time off whenever I want. And I like to do that to travel to new and favorite places, visiting with my children and grandchildren and friends in different part of the country. I have been abroad several times but still look forward to seeing places I have not yet seen.
I am looking for a special person to share special times with, who has similar values and interests and is emotionally mature and financially secure--not necessarily rich--but can take care of himself.
I am an active person, enjoy swimming, riding my bike--plan to do the "Virginia Creeper" route in early fall, boating--have not tried water sking in 2 years, but have gone flying behind the boat in a tube more recently. I love walking, picnicing, having diner out, especially outside in warmer months, reading--mostly mysteries, playing cards, especially bridge but enjoy spades, canasta, pinocle and play crazy eights with my grandchildren. I enjoy walking, camping--in a tent!!--hiking, even though the trips are a little less strenuous than they use to be. I enjoy gardening, both flower and vegetable gardening. I have some other indoor things I enjoy also besides playing cards and reading, some needlework and various crafts.
Traveling is another very important activity--from camping to formal nights on a cruise.
I enjoy music, play the piano, the ukele and have sung in church choirs and city-sponsored groups even though I am not active in one at the present time.
I am currently setting up for another Operation Smile volunteer medical mission to be done within the next year, which I find very rewarding.
And a little something that I feel tells a little more about me. I LOVE DAISIES--a simple flower of beauty and cheerfulness.
